Staff Nurse - Medical Ward

Deliver comprehensive ward nursing to adults admitted with common medical illnesses and chronic disease complications. Work includes admission assessment, medication rounds, IV therapy, glucose and vital monitoring, specimen collection, nursing care plans, discharge education and coordination of investigations. The nurse should identify deterioration early and escalate concerns to the medical team while maintaining patient safety, fall-prevention and infection-control standards. Clear handovers and accurate electronic or paper documentation are central to the role. Candidates should be comfortable with rotational shifts and a varied medical caseload.

At Shalby Hospital, this General Medicine position will work within the Mohali clinical team and contribute to safe, patient-centred nursing from admission through handover or discharge.
