Staff Nurse - Surgical Ward

Manage preoperative and postoperative nursing for general surgical patients. Responsibilities include admission preparation, pain and vital assessment, wound and drain care, IV fluids, medication administration, mobility support, prevention of postoperative complications and discharge teaching. The nurse will monitor for bleeding, infection, respiratory compromise and other changes requiring prompt review, and coordinate investigations and follow-up instructions with the surgical team. Good aseptic technique, patient communication and shift handover skills are required. Experience in a busy surgical ward is advantageous.
